Lutheran schools in northeast Indiana will have open houses for prospective parents and students Sunday to showcase what the schools have to offer.
Lutheran Schools Partnership Director Mark Muehl said this is the fifth year for the event, which gives families a chance to go school shopping.
The Lutheran Schools Partnership is an organization composed of primary and secondary Lutheran schools in the area.
Each schools program will vary, and families can travel from school to school starting at noon and lasting until 3 p.m. Entertainment and snacks might be provided at some schools.
Art will be displayed, and tours will be offered by teachers or students.
Its meant to be a warm, inviting atmosphere, Muehl said of the event.
Lutheran schools participating in the choice scholarship, or voucher, program will have information available.
The state program gives public dollars in the form of a voucher to families of a certain income level to attend private schools.
