Down went the home winning streak, propelled by tired legs and one glaring absence.
Playing their third game in five days, and with leading scorer and rebounder Luke Harangody on the bench in street clothes with a knee injury, the Mad Ants led very early and then never again, falling to Sioux Falls 106-99 at Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday.
A 7-0 Sioux Falls run took the Skyforce from a 5-2 deficit to a 9-5 lead, and the Ants never caught up thereafter. The loss snapped a six-game home winning streak stretching back to December.
Tony Mitchell led the Ants (13-15) with 27 points and Ron Howard added 20, but no one else scored more than 13. Nine threes by Sioux Falls and 25 turnovers to just 18 assists for the Mad Ants did the rest.
Demetris Nichols led the Skyforce (17-11), which put seven players in double figures, with 22 points.View comments
