The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo has been named the "best summer gotta-do" in Indiana, the state Office of Tourism Development has announced.
A TinCaps game at Parkview Field placed second, the tourism office said in a statement.
The rankings are based on voting in the "Best of Indiana" section of visitindiana.com.
Voters also selected top choices for Indiana pies, ice-cream shops, sandwiches and fall travel destinations.
The winners in other categories were:
- Best pie: Apple pie at The Apple Works, Trafalgar;
- Best sandwich: Bratwurst at the Schnitzelbank, Jasper;
- Best ice-cream shop: The Chief, Goshen; and
- Best fall foliage spot: Brown County State Park, Brown County.
