About 900 residents on Fort Wayne's southwest side are without power, an Indiana Michigan Power spokeswoman said today.
The outage was caused by a tree falling on a power line, spokeswoman YaVonda Ulfig said.
Ulfig said she did not know the location of the fallen tree, but crews are working to restore power.
The power went out shortly before 2 p.m., she said.
Traffic lights in the area are out and traffic near West Jefferson Boulevard, Getz Road and Covington Road has been affected.
Drivers are reminded to treat intersections without functioning traffic signals as four-way stops.
