An armed man broke into his girlfriends house west of Pierceton and shot two televisions before police arrested him midday Monday, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriffs Department.
Troy Frieden, 38, apparently cut his hand while busting a door to enter the house through a garage, the sheriffs department said. His girlfriend was not home at the time.
He fired a shot into the engine of her vehicle in the garage, and he broke several glass items and shot the two televisions in the house, the department said.
Sheriffs deputies were called to the home, and soon after they arrived, Frieden came outside covered in blood and was held at gunpoint until he was taken into custody. Deputies found two handguns on him, the department said.
Frieden, of North Manchester, was treated for his cuts at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw before he was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail and held without bail.
Detectives are seeking to charge him with felony burglary with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a firearm and criminal recklessness, the sheriffs department said.
