SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – Authorities said two people died in an overnight house fire in Shaker Heights, east of Cleveland.
Assistant Fire Chief Wayne Johnson said five other residents were rescued and taken to a hospital after the two-story home went up in flames.
Officials said the fire broke out about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, and multiple crews responded to fight it. The fire was contained to the house. The cause hasn’t been determined.
Victims’ names haven’t been released.
