A Fort Wayne man faces charges of child solicitation and possession of child pornography after the family of a 12-year-old girl found Facebook messages exchanged between the two, court papers said.

Raymond L. Ybarra Jr., also known as “Yogi,” 38, of the 2300 block of Dale Road, was charged Wednesday.

According to court documents, Ybarra met the girl at a birthday party in September and the two became friends on Facebook. Ybarra asked the child to send him partly nude photos of her and made inappropriate comments that were sexual in nature, court documents said.

The girl’s aunt found the girl’s Facebook page open on her iPad and reported Ybarra to police. A Fort Wayne police detective also discovered child pornography on Ybarra’s cellphone and Ybarra admitted to sending the photos to other people, court records said.

Ybarra was being held at the Allen County Jail in lieu of $72,500 bail.
