Undercover OxyContin buys end in arrest

A North Webster man has been arrested, accused of selling the painkiller OxyContin to undercover officers in North Webster and Syracuse.

Lynn Allen Umber, 58, who lives on the northeast shore of Webster Lake, was preliminarily charged with two counts of class A felony dealing a schedule III controlled substance within 1,000 feet of either a school, park or government housing, according to a written statement issued by the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force.

The task force did not make public specific locations where the sales occurred.

Umber’s bond has been set at $50,000.
