Purdue defensive tackle Kawann Short was named second-team All-American by The Associated Press on Tuesday.
The senior has 42 tackles, 14 1/2 tackles for loss, six sacks, four blocked kicks, two fumbles recovered and one forced fumble. He is Purdue's first All-America selection sinc Ryan Kerrigan made the first team in 2010.
Short is eighth all-time at Purdue in career tackles for loss (48) and sacks (18 1/2). He has blocked more career field goals (six) than any other player in school history.
