An early-morning visit from the Indiana State Police to pick up a suspect on warrants out two counties ended in two meth-related arrests.
Troopers and a police dog went to a home in the 16200 block of Edgerton Road, east of New Haven, about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to arrest Michael Jay Neuenschwander, 22, on a warrant out of Steuben County for a probation violation charge and one out of LaGrange County for a charge of leaving the scene of an accident, according to a written statement issued by the state police.
It said that Neuenschwander and Jeremy L. Combs, 24, of Ashley, were in a detached garage that smelled like meth. Troopers reported that a one-pot meth lab was found.
Neuenschwander faces additional charged of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a common nuisance.
