Familiar face back with Ants

Say this much for the Mad Ants even though they're all but out of the D-League playoffs: They're not giving up.

The Ants just picked up 6-foot-3 guard Anthony Goods, who has returned to the team from Italy.

Goods, if you remember, was once a member of the Ants. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 draft and played one game and released, which was not a good move at the time.

Goods went on to finish the season with the Dakota Wizards, where he averaged 18.2 points and was the eighth-leading scorer in the league.

Although he began the season with the Wizards, Goods went to Italy. And now he's back, both States-side and with the Ants.

To make room for Goods on the roster, the Ants waived guard Devan Downey, who averaged 10.8 points and 3.9 assists in his eight games.

Goods is expected to play tonight when the Ants (11-27) meet Maine (15-23) at Memorial Coliseum.

In another roster move that won't affect this season, the Ants acquired former UCLA center Dan Gadzuric, but traded his rights to Texas for their second round pick of next year's D-League draft.
