Chaulk ready to go

Komets captain Colin Chaulk, who has missed the last six games with concussion symptoms, was cleared by doctors and should be in the lineup Tuesday against the Quad City Mallards at Moline, Ill.

However, the Komets will still be short of a full lineup for the seventh straight game because leading-scorer Brett Smith (shoulder), Dustin Molle (groin) and Alex Kangas (hip) are out.

Jesse Bennefield isn't going to Quad City because he's expecting a child. The Komets are hoping he can play Wednesday against Bloomington at Memorial Coliseum.

Molle won't be back in the lineup this week. However, the Komets have no plans to bring in anyone else right now.

  • No great shock here: Arizona has fired its coaching staff.
