Super Bowl party central opens today

INDIANAPOLIS – The Super Bowl Village is ready for business.

The downtown Indianapolis hub for Super Bowl pre-game activity was scheduled to open to the public at 3 p.m. Friday following a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The village’s attractions include an 800-foot zip line that opens to the public after VIPs take the first zip line rides at noon Friday.

The indoor NFL Experience also opens Friday with football clinics for children led by several Indianapolis Colts players.

Fans will also be able to tour Lucas Oil Stadium, where the New England Patriots and New York Giants will face off Feb. 5. The public will be invited to walk on the stadium’s field and visit each team’s locker rooms.

The Super Bowl is expected to draw more than 150,000 visitors to Indianapolis.
